We personally preferred Tybee Beach because the access to the beach and roads in the area were a bit more open and seemed better layed out for visitors. We felt that Folly seemed more residential with tighter streets and we didn’t notice as many restaurants.

The beach can become quite crowded during the summer months. If you are looking for a quieter beach, Sullivan’s Island is nice, and our favorite is Kiawah!
